I could honestly care less about the holidays. Really, I’m not trying to be a scrooge it’s just…I don’t care.

I got accepted into the next class but not in the way I wanted. It was basically the “we let you in but you’re not good enough for the BFA program” result and now I’m sad and upset and I’m in one of those giving up moods and I’m just going to be over here feeling sorry and mad at myself.

But as you all know they used Papyrus font. Even for the SUBTITLES. It was…difficult to handle.

This is how I imagine the use of Papyrus came about:

Designer 1: Hey…hey…let’s use Papyrus on this movie title logo thing. *tee hee* We’ll send it to Creative Director as a joke.

My grandpa had his double bypass yesterday.

And 10 hours later he’s in the ICU at some hospital in Portugal. Apparently he’ll be “out of it” for about 3 days. I don’t know much else. I don’t think anyone else in my family knows much more. Not even my grandma.

I haven’t slept for 2 nights because I’m stressed out about it. And if my grandpa gets better, I swear I’m going to find some way to get over there to visit. I just want to see them one more time before anything like this happens again.

I went to a friends birthday party last night. I like this girl…a lot. She’s one of my bridesmaids BUT…

This party was ridiculous. There were about 10 people and every girl there (except for myself and another friend) were dressed like skanks. That is, they were all dresses in vagina length shirts (no. not dresses. NOT DRESSES.) and 4 inch spike heels. TO JUST HANG OUT. IN AN APARTMENT.

And then they started smoking marijuana because it’s sooooo cool. And they’re in college so that’s like…toats the thing to do, right? *giggle*

Never again. I should’ve stayed home like I wanted to.

My grandpa is having coronary bypass surgery today.

He was flown out to mainland Portugal (from the Azores islands) because no facility on the islands could handle the surgery. The doctors wouldn’t let my grandma go with him so he’s going to wake up from surgery completely alone.

I’m terrified that something’s going to happen to him. I haven’t seen my grandparents since I was two and I keep telling them that I’m going to fly out “soon” to see them. I’m biting my words now and I wish I had gone when I had the chance.

I turned in my design portfolio today. In the next couple of weeks I find out if I’ve been accepted into the next design class (the last one before the BIG portfolio review i.e: the BFA program). I will receive a letter with 3 different possible results. These are:

1. You’re accepted! You’re portfolio was awesome and you’re going to be great in this next class! And hey! You have a great chance of getting into the BFA program!

2. You’re accepted! You did ok, so-so, whatever. We needed to fill seats so we’re letting you take the class. But hey, if you work your ass off maybe you’ll get a decent grade. PS: No way you’re getting into the BFA program. Don’t even try.

3. Toats not accepted. You FAIL! Drop out of school now! Change majors! Do anything except design!

I FINALLY finished studying for my art history final.
